He was a fabulous underrated artist. In this age of mayhem and madness, his movies, ie "Frankie And Johnny" are fun loving, frolics, lets call it a breath of fresh air, dixieland jazz, gypsies, gambling, ladies of the night, sin and redemption. God, he was great in the sixties. Elvis is Back, Run On, the slendid How Great Thou Art LP, the comeback and Memphis sessions. His best decade, his only decade. The 70's were sad but he soared vocally on the 1977 CBS TV Special after a disastorous gruelling 1976 never ending stint of Vegas and tours. "He Was The King."
